The staff and students in New Student Services / Family Outreach (NSSFO) welcome you to Western and hope that you find the following online resources helpful as you learn more about WWU and your campus community. Here you will find resources tailor-made to fit freshmen, transfer, and post-baccalaureate students, and family members. We strive to support the transition process of new students and their family members to the WWU community. For students, we offer academic advising and orientation programs and resources based on your student type (First-Year, Transfer, Post-bacc) and which quarter you are entering Western. For parents and family members, the NSSFO office also supports year-round communications such as monthly e-newsletters and calendars, family orientation programs, and an annual family weekend event in the fall for students and families to have some fun on campus together. Due to University closure caused by inclement weather, the opening of Spring Advising & Orientation reservations has been delayed until the week of January 27, 2020 . We apologize for any inconvienience. Reserve Your Place Now Reservations for the Spring Advising & Orientation are now open If you are a freshman who did not attend Summerstart and did not make a reservation for Fall Advising & Orientation, but still plan to attend Western, please call New Student Services/Family Outreach at (360) 650-3846. -- New Student Services/Family Outreach fosters student learning and development by supporting new students & family members in their transition to the academic, personal, and social experience of WWU.
